SENSE AWARENESS
Start a pause habit one or two times each day. Notice all your senses and exercise the 5-4-3-2-1 method with or without kids. List 5 things you see around you. Name 4 things you can feel. Name 3 things you can hear. List 2 things you smell. Name 1 thing you can taste.
OBSERVE
Observe 9 senses without judgment during this calming video of rain drops on Kohlrabi leaf. You can start by practicing awareness of just one sense during ordinary activities around you. ex. focus on listening only when on a neighborhood walk. Slowly build sense awareness habits over time.
Autopilot Rx: Set morning practice intention. Schedule a soothing bell sound regularly on your phone for sense awareness reminders. It gently signals my intentions for the day. I use the bell on the free Plum village app.
